I have survived another day! How many tragedies can one handle in a short life. I was sure those vampires would wipe out the brave souls who have helped me and Ismark. I ran with Percy to try to get the bones back to St. Andral’s Church. I didn’t run fast enough though, Strahd had already made is way to Father Lucian. Like the devil he is, he just murdered him so all of Vallaki could see. Only to drop his limp body on top of the church.
We came to Vallaki, a much more vibrant town compared my village of Barovia. Now the people are either put into further despair, or angry with the burgomaster. The Martikov’s don’t think he or his family will last the day.
We learned that the Martikov’s are part of the Keeper of the Feather, a secret group of WereRavens. These lycanthropes are directly opposed to Strahd, they appear to be the threat that Lester was worried about. They have suggested that we leave immediately for Krezk. The crowds of rioters may seek to blame our party for the vampire’s attack. It may be our luck all of the guards are dead and the town is focused on the burgomaster for now.
The man we met last night, Rictavio, has fled to a tower on Lake Baratok. Urwin spoke of the possibility of a werewolf den on the Northwest shore of Lake Baratok. We are not sure of Rictavio’s purpose as he seemed to help us understand more about the readings my friends got from Madam Eva. Unfortunately he cut the help short when we spoke of a Vistani seeking her mentor at the Abby of Saint Markovia.
Is the Abby of Saint Markovia my only hope of to survive? Will Strahd still a way to make me his bride?

This is probably the most miserable morning ever! It is freezing because we were not allowed into the walls of Krezk. We were turned away from Baron Dimitri, the local Burgomaster. He was suspicious of our intentions to gain access and has asked us to prove our goodness. I guess with werewolves in his vicinity it only makes sense. Earlier Lester had sensed the location of the werewolf den, it wasn’t more than a few miles from the Village. It took some sensible talk from Eddie to convince Onyx from finding ways to scale the walls.
